Overview: How To Use ConvertPods

–Step by Step Tutorial

1.Go to your browser and open Convertpods by entering app.convertpods.com in the URL box.

 

2.Once you are on the log-in page, Enter your email address and password for the account and click “Login”.  If you do not have an account yet you can click on the “Register” button to process the Registration.




2.1(Registration) Check out all plans available for you and choose one that fits your needs. After that, Click the “Buy Now” button to continue with the registration process.

 

2.2(Registration) Enter your Information on the pop-up to complete registration and complete the payment to finalize the plan. After doing so, you will be routed back to the Login page.

 

Once you have logged in using the Email address and the password you will be routed to the Dashboard of your Convertpods account.





3.Dashboard Overview

Once you are logged in, you will be on the page called the “Dashboard”.


The Dashboard will show you the information that your account has. It will show you data and statistics and the productivity of your Pods daily.

 

  • Total Sessions Today – This will show you the total number of broadcasts of your Pods today.

  • Total Registrants Today – This will show you the total number of people who signed up using your Pods today.

  • Total Attendees Today  – This will show you the total number of people who watched or viewed your Podcast Today.

  • Total Conversion today – This will show you the number of sales that was generated using your Podcast today.

  • Under each stats, you will also see the total from when your account started.

 

The Dashboard will also contain data and information containing the comparison of your Live Pods and Replay Pods in total. This way you will be able to determine which one is generating more numbers than the other.

This will show you the comparison on numbers about Viewers, Registrants, CTA Clicks and Conversion.

4.Navigating to Pod Creation

 

  • On the Dashboard, you will see 4 Icons on the left part of the screen.


  • Click on the Webinar icon         on the left side of the screen.The side panel will pop-up.

  • Then click on My Pods when the side panel shows



It will bring you to the Your Podspace where you will see the option to Create a new pod or to edit an existing pod that you have created before.

  • To Create a new pod, click on the Create pod button and Start setting up your pod. You will need to:

  1. Name of your Pod – This will be the private title of your pod. This is not visible to the public.

  2. Title of your Pod – This will be the Public title of your pod. This will be the name that your viewers will see after registration

  3. Choosing the Category of your Pod – You will need to tag your pod if it is about Business, I.T. (Information Technology), Or Comedy.

  4. Upload a Thumbnail for your Pod – This will be like a profile picture for your pod.

  • After doing these steps, click on the “Continue to Pod Creator” button to proceed with Configuration of your pod. This will bring you to a whole new page where you can continue on setting the Pod.

This will be the Configurations Tab. This page will help set the basic setting for the Pod.

Basic Pod Settings (some of this information, you have already filled during the previous page)

  1. Name of your Pod – This will be the private title of your pod. This is not visible to the public.

  2. Description – Give your viewers a little overview on what the pod is all about.

  3. Title of your Pod – This will be the Public title of your pod. This will be the name that your viewers will see after registration

  4. Choosing the Category of your Pod – You will need to tag your pod if it is about Business, I.T. (Information Technology), Or Comedy.

  5. Upload a Thumbnail for your Pod – This will be like a profile picture for your pod.

Pod Audio/Video Source

  • This part of the setting will help you create the content for your Pods. This will be the part where you will need to upload the Video or Audio Content for your pod.

  • You will need to create a video or an audio file with the correct format so that you can upload it as the content of your pod.

  • You can also use Split-Testing for your content so that you can create different variations of your content. Each Version will need different titles. The Split-Testing Function will help you do tests and experiments to see and determine which version of your pod is doing much better than the other.You can also edit the Percentage of each of the variations of the content.

Uploading your Content

  1. For Video Content
    -You will need a video file in MP4 or MOV format
    -The video needs to be hosted in a server that supports the MP4 format like amazon s3 or other platforms that supports the MP4 format.
    -Enter the link of your file on the part that is labeled “URL to your Pod File”
    -You will see the preview of the video content after uploading on the right side next to the link.



  1. For Audio Content
    -You will need to upload an audio file in MP3 format. The audio file will be played as the content for your pod.

-You can also choose to upload a photo or video background for the Pod that will be played along with the uploaded audio when the pod broadcasts.
-Convertpods also has system files that are already pre-downloaded which you can use as a video background. You can access these in the Media Gallery and there are a lot of options that you can choose from. Click on the “Select from Gallery” button to upload a custom picture/video background or choose from the ones from the system.


Pod Chat

  Pod Chats are the messages that you and your viewers will see during the broadcast of your pod. You can generate these chats by uploading a chat or you can add chats from your previous pods that will be automatically saved by the system after the pod’s session.

  • By clicking the “Manage Chat” button, you will be able to see all uploaded chats and system generated chat that you can choose from.

  • Session variations named selection are chats that were generated by the system from previous sessions of your pod.

  • Uploaded chats are chats that you uploaded.

  • Once you have these options available , before your pod is scheduled to go live, you can choose to change which chats you want to be on the next session.

  • Right next to the “Manage Chat” button, you will see the upload button. When you click on the option to upload a file, you’ll be shown the requirements for your CSV. Your file should only have 7 columns, separated by commas, and each row in the file will represent a new chat line. The columns should contain the following information:

 

  1. Date: DAY/MONTH/YEAR

  2. Time: HH:MM:SS

  3. First Name: (e.g. Mike)

  4. Last Name: (e.g. Platter)

  5. Role: Attendee/Host/Moderator

  6. Message: (e.g. Hello Guys!)

  7. Session: (e.g. 3:00, 22:00)

 

Snowball Effect function
Snowball effect will give you the option to have all chats and messages from the previous session to be carried over to the next session.  This is a new feature that is very useful in attracting viewers. To turn on this function, simply click on the checkbox under the Snowball effect function.

Add pod series
    The series page is a place for adding extra videos to your podcast. These videos will appear after the main podcast ends and will be included in the podcast series. They can offer further training or information to your audience. You have the option to enable or disable both the series page and the live feature on this page.

  • In addition to the main Pod content, you also have the option to add additional video or audio segments that will supplement your Pod. These could be bite-sized pieces of content that will keep your audience engaged.

  • To add these segments, simply provide the Title, Description, and Audio or Video URL. The process is similar to how you entered the URL in the Video Source section

  • These videos will be displayed as mini-series within your pod. They will only be visible once the main session is finished and will remain available after the session and in the replay.

  • Once you’ve added the videos, you can use the drag and drop feature on the right side of the screen to reorder the videos
